As most of you should know, I'm not an SEC fan/supporter/apologist. People can say what they will but I stick by the fact that the Tenn loss was a bad loss for the conference, and a great win for the Pac. The SC/Vandy game though, I think was a good thing for the SEC. I said shortly after USC's win over NCSU that it was not an impressive win... they simply played a team that was WAY overmatched. They did something I found very odd for an OBC led team... they made tons of mental errors and simply relied on the fact that they were a more talented team. Vandy... though a perrenial doormat and recently just a bad team, was able to capitalize on the same kind of mistakes in this game. While Vandy may not be the worst team in the SEC this year, they are certainly not among the best, and I think this game (which was also very entertaining) finally adds credibility to the sometimes overblown "depth" of the SEC. While I'm all about jumping on outrageous and sometimes idiotic claims, I am also someone who can give praise where praise is do. Congrats to the Dores on a quality win. If the other bottom dwellers of the SEC can perform like Vandy did last night, there can be no argument about the depth on the lower end of the SEC. I personally don't see the other bottom feeders in the other conferences being able to do what Vandy did.
