Bud Selig endorses domestic violence!

I can't believe he got the 3 year extension.

Bud Selig should not be the guy to lead baseball out of the steroid era.

I agree Selig should not joke about spousal abuse, but he shouldn't even have the choice of being able to make those comments as baseball's commissioner in the first place.

He's a figurehead. Those aren't his words coming out of his mouth, they're Steinbrenners. He's a puppet, controlled by the owners who put him there with only the owners best intentions in mind. IMO baseball f'd up allowing a "former" owner to become commissioner in the first place. Being from Milwaukee and involved heavily in baseball organizations here all my life, I've met and talked to Bud a few times. He's a decent guy, but always money first. He stated a few times that he really didn't want to be commissioner, but I doubt the owners were going to let their Golden Goose fly away too soon. The only way he'll be done as commissioner is if the owners find a suitable replacement.

As far as the comment about punching his wife, seriously who cares. Spousal abuse is not something to laugh on end about, but lets not fry people because they aren't so great expressing a sense of humor.
